Special visitors joined Year 2 during science week.
I hope the children enjoyed their holidays and are ready and refreshed for the challenges to come. Please continue to read with the children at home as this is vital to support their learning across the curriculum.
We have a very busy half term ahead. Please click here to see what Year 2 will be learning about: Spring 1 Overrview.
Welcome to Year 2. The teacher in the class is Miss Holmes and the teaching assistants are Mrs Broadbelt and Miss Halstead.
Year 2 is a challenging year and we welcome your support to ensure that your child reaches their full potential. Home reading is essential and children should be aiming to read every night. Remember that reading your home reader more than once is great as it helps to develop fluency and reading speed which are both important as your child progresses through school.
Our maths scheme Maths No problem is in full swing and we would like to remind you to make sure you get children to use visuals and draw pictures to help them solve problems. Again you can support your child at home by working on the 2,5 and 10 times tables. Have you tried Times Table Rockstars?
We have a very busy year ahead and I would like to thankyou in advance for your continued support.
