Non Chronological Report
We have chosen our new books with the money we raised from the book fair. We have wrapped them up and put brief descriptions on them and the children were selected at random to choose on based on the description. The children were SO excited to open them and could not wait to get started reading.

World Book Day
Today we have been creating book characters with potatoes and craft materials. The children’s ideas have been fab. Take a look at a sample of them below and see if you can spot who they are.
Science is Fun!
As part of our learning on solids, liquids and gases, we created slimey gloop using cornflour mixed with water. We made predictions on what would happen. We found out that when pressure was applied, the mixture had the properties of a solid. When the pressure was released, the mixture had the properties of a liquid.
Pizza Making in Year 4B
As part of our learning on “The Art of Food” we have been designing and making our very own pizzas to take home and share with our families. The pizzas have looked delicious and the children were so excited to take them home and share them.
Chinese New Year

We will be beginning our first term together by reading The Firework Makers Daughter. The children will be innovating the fantasy novel and creating their very own!
We got to have a go at a new sport called Nordic Walking which was really good for our upper body strength and fitness.
For our R.E topic on Hinduism, the children have made their own diva lamps out of clay and card. We have also used coloured rice to create diwali patterns as part of our learning on the festival of Diwali.
