Mrs Anna Preece
Mrs Nuttall, our SENCo Lead in school will be holding a ‘SENCo Drop In’ Session on Friday 20th October 1.15pm-3.15pm.
If you have any concerns at all about your child and would like to talk to her about areas such as Special Educational Needs, how the school nurse team might help you, who to turn to for support or any other concerns, then please feel free to drop in and see her.
Your child does not have to be on the SEN register to attend. Everyone is welcome.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came to the Book Fair last week. You spent over £1,700 which means that school will receive over £1,000 to spend on books for the children!
WORLD BOOK DAY
The children have had a lovely day dressed in their pyjamas. In the afternoon the full school watched a play from ‘The Reading Room’ taking the children on a journey through a variety of different stories by different authors.
Many thanks to members of the PTFA for organising and running this event which raised in excess of £400! Class winners will be announced in assembly on Monday.
Children really love our new library. We have a variety of reading clubs throughout the week where children can listen to stories appropriate to their age. Years 3 & 4 Monday 12.00 noon. Years 5 & 6 Tuesday 12 noon. Year 2 Wednesday 12.30 – 12.45, Year 1 Thursday 12.30-12.50 p.m.
In order to raise money towards the transport costs for Young Voices, the choir is putting on a musical performance after school on Thursday 26th January from 3.30 to 4.30 p.m. This is a great opportunity for everyone to get a taste of what Young Voices is like and we would love you to come along and support us.
There is a £1 charge per adult so please invite other family members and friends. There will also be a raffle and a cake stall and any donations of cakes to would be greatly appreciated.
