Welcome to Reception!

In Reception we have two members of staff. Mrs Isherwood is the teacher and Mrs Bromley is the teaching assistant (TA). Here is what we look like!

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Isherwood: katie.isherwood@britannia.lancs.sch.uk

In Reception we love to learn through playing and exploring. We are active learners and like to be 'hands on'! We do lots of reading, writing, maths, being creative and using our imaginations.

READING AT HOME - it is vital that you read with your child at home at least 3 times a week. This greatly improves their fluency and aids them with their understanding of what they have read. If you are experiencing any problems with reading at home please let me know.

Mental Health and Wellbeing - we are dedicated to ensuring that all children in our care are made to feel safe, wanted, cared about and valued. We work with the children to help them find strategies to develop their sense of wellbeing as well as discuss problems. We come up with solutions to how we can begin to try to solve our own problems.
