Following school closure due to the coronavirus, please see the weekly timetable below for your child to follow for their home learning.   A new timetable for each week will be available on the Monday morning by 9 am. Please mark your child's work and try to guide them with their corrections. Where work can be returned to me, you should upload this via the pupil login page to alert me. You should aim to complete the work set on the relevant day- details of this work can be found in the curriculum grids in the pack sent home. Phonics Live Lessons!

I have watched and joined in with the first one today (Monday) and it was super! Please watch along at home and let your children show you what we do in our phonics sessions in school! 

At school, we teach your children phonics by following the Read Write Inc.  phonics program.

Read Write Inc. will be streaming free phonics lessons on YouTube for children to watch and join in with at home. This includes three short Speed Sound lessons with one of the trainers every day for the next two weeks.

Films will only be available at the times below and remain online for just 24hrs.

The Body Coach Joe Wickes will be putting on live PE lessons each week day from 9am. They will be 30 minute workouts aimed at children of all ages. You can find ‘PE with Joe’ on the Youtube channel ‘The Body CoachTV’.

We had a wonderful time celebrating Chinese New Year in our class. We made chinese dragons and learned all about the special traditions. Have a look at our photo gallery to see how hard we worked to make our dragons.

Supertato!

Year 1 have loved reading the story Supertato- so much so, some of the children have even created their own vegetable characters at home. See the gallery at the bottom of the page for some examples of the incredible pieces of work we have recieved. 

 

Moving Picture Cards

In DT we have been making moving picture cards. The children have demonstrated fantastic cutting skills to create slots and levers for their pictures. We enjoyed sharing what we made with Reception. Please see the gallery at the bottom of this page for some examples of our work.
