Hello and a very warm welcome to Year 5! Mrs Nuttall is the teacher every morning and also Thursday and Friday afternoon. Mrs Nuttall teaches Maths and English along with Geography, History PSHE, RE and spelling. Mrs Ennis supports throughout the day and Miss Nestor joins us all day Tuesday and Wednesday as well as Thursday morning. We always aim to enable each child to reach their potential academically as well as socially and emotionally. We enjoy working with families to support children in the best way we can.

PE
- PE day in the Autumn Term is Thursday.
- Year 5 will go swimming on Tuesday.
- Please remind your child to remove any earrings before school if possible to keep them safe during PE.
Homework
- Homework will be given out on Tuesdays. This is to be handed in the following Tuesday and marked together so misconceptions can be picked up.
- Please support your child in reading for 20 minutes each day and sign their reading record regularly.
- Children should use TT Rockstars for 10 minutes everyday.
Multiplication Tables
In Year 5, it is really important that your child has a firm grasp of the multiplication tables and the related division facts. This fluency is crucial to access the upper junior Maths curriculum. If your child is still unsure, please keep practising with them at home. There are some useful links below for times tables help.
