Design and Technology

In D&T we have been tasting fruit and using our senses. We tasted a range of exotic fruits and described the smell, taste and texture. The children were very brave and all had a go at tasting the following:

• Persimmon 
• Papaya
• Mango
• Melon 
• Pineapple
• Lychee
• Passion fruit 
• Lemon
• Apricot
• Grapefruit 

We will be moving on to designing and making our own fruit kebabs. Here are some pictures of the fruit we have tasted and our experience.

We designed and made our fruit kebabs. We practised carefully cutting the fruit and chose which ones we wanted on the kebab. It was a beautiful day so we decided to eat them outside in the sunshine!
